Abigail's blessing.

Abigail was blessed October 11, 2009 in the Taylorsville 15th ward. John gave her a beautiful blessing and we were so happy to have many righteous men in our family able to be in the circle. It was a busy day for blessings in our ward, there were three other babies blessed a boy by the Banks family and twin girls by the Thomas's.

I made Abi's blessing dress and bonnet. The bonnet is made from a handkerchief I received while in young women's when the bountiful temple was dedicated and I attended the broadcast at our stake center. I found the pattern to make it online.

The dress pattern I made my self with guidance from a sewing blog I found. The fabric is what makes the dress.

Isn't the fabric so pretty?! I think so.

John calming Abi down so we could get some pictures.

Another cute picture of daddy and Abi.
Katie was a good girl most all day although her nap was way late and the fact there were so many people around.
Mom and Abi.
Our little family.

By the end of the day Abi was so tired she hadn't gotten much sleep during the day with so much happening. Her shirt says "I'm the little sister".

Thanks to all family and friends who were able to come and celebrate Abigail with us. And those who couldn't make it we appreciate your love and support for our family.

Nothing new.

There is nothing new going on with us I just have pictures I want to share.

Abigail doesn't mind tummy time for the most part. Katie likes it too, she has to try and lay on the play mat with her sister.
Sleeping soundly.
Can you believe Katie is 22 months old. She has gotten to be such a big girl. Binki's have become a nap, night time, and stressful situation(Dr. visits) thing. Without the binki Katie is talking a lot more, John and I are surprised at the large vocabulary she has.

I like CHEESE!

Introducing Abigail

Thursday Sept. 3rd Abigail Alicia finally made her appearance. We have been waiting with anticipation to meet her. She was born at 6:10pm weighing 9 lbs 1 oz and 21 inches long with brown hair.

Abigail and mommy.

That morning I had a pregnancy check up at 9:50am I was called back but shortly after my Dr had a delivery. We (John and Katie had come with) waited an hour or so and she was back. My blood pressure was high and also I hadn't felt the baby move so far that day so she sent me down to be monitored. While being monitored I went into labor, John ran Katie home to stay with my parents then returned for a fun filled afternoon of labor. Delivery went smoothly and baby girl is healthy. We didn't have a name for her until the next morning but are glad we decided on one before leaving the hospital. On Saturday we brought Abigail home. Katie is in love with her sister and loves to kiss her on the top of the head. Abigail is like her sister in that she loves her binky already. They also have the same cute nose.

Ready to go home.

Yay I'm home!
Daddy and his girls.

Yay! I'm all caught up!

I'm all caught up with our summer adventures so far. The only other thing we have done is this last Tuesday Katie and I went with my sister, Mary, and her kids to the Living Planet Aquarium. I didn't take any pictures because many of the exhihibits ask for no flash photography so I just didn't pull out my camera at all. Katie loved the fish and would look at them then look at me sign fish and make a fishy face, it was so dang cute! Also on Monday Katie and I went with my mom to the Library. It was Katies first trip to the Library we read books and she enjoyed pulling books off the shelves while mom followed behind picking them up. We checked out two signing time video's which she would watch constantly if I let her.
Last Saturday my friend Rachel Rynearson threw me a getting ready for baby shower. It was at Dream Dinners they are a store you go in and prepare meals to be frozen. We had a good time and now I have meals in the freezer so when it's too hard to cook we have something easy to get ready. Thanks again Rachel and those who came, what a great idea and gift. Now we are just waiting for the arrival of our new little girl. I'm 37 weeks along and my Dr doesn't think I'll make it to 39 weeks. We are anxious and a bit nervous for her to come. We have done all we can think of to prepare Katie for the changes that are coming and are sure they will be good friends for the most part. We are still undecided on a name, hopefully we can find a name both John and I love.

I'll leave you with a few random summer pictures just because I hate leaving a post without a picture.

Katie loves running in the sprinkler on hot days. She is cute in her swim suit!

Playing catch up one post at a time: Memmott Family Reunion at This is the Place State Park

August 8th the annual Memmott family reunion was held at This is the Place State Park. The Memmott reunions are one afternoon long with lunch, some entertainment, and a raffle or drawing. I never know most of the people there unless it's held in Scipio (most Scipio folk don't travel up to Salt Lake for it).

Rebecca, Luc, Jay, Lawon, and Ella

My parents are on the committee for the reunion and planned the entertainment. Brother and Sister Barnard are a couple that live in our ward and work at This is the Place State park they did a roll play for us. Brother Barnard plays Brigham Young and Sister Barnard one of Brigham Young's wives they also play other rolls at times.

After Lunch and the entertainment we were free to roam the park. It was Katie's nap time so we didn't stay long, we did go see the animals, Katie rode on a horse and loved it and petted sheep and little goats.

Katie was so sad when the ride was over.

Nice goat.

Pigs.
Katie wishes the bunny could come out to play.
Soft sheep.
It was a bit chilly this day and the lambs were all snuggled together to stay warm.

On the 24th of July my siblings Jay, Trent, and Mary and there families all came to my parents. The kids enjoyed trying to soak one another in a water fight while the adults watched and dodged the water.

Playing catch up one post at a time: Tracy Aviary and water at Liberty Park

I had never been to Tracy Aviary before so Mary and I decided to go for an afternoon. We went on July 13th. Katie loved the different birds, we didn't get many pictures. After the Aviary the kids put on their swim suits and played in the man made stream in Liberty park.

Katie is just a bit taller than an Owl

Ella is about the same size as an Emu
Connor is about the same size as a Flamingo

After the Aviary the kids put on their swim suits and played in the man made stream in Liberty park. Katie loved the water and was so cute in her swim suit.
