Back in the day & Today

Just for fun I thought I would post pictures of me and of my girls at the same ages.
Me 22 months

Katie 22 months

Me 2 days

Abi 2 days

Abi's first solids!

On Monday we give Abi rice cereal for the first time. She wasn't really sure if she liked it, she would open her mouth for every bite but promply would spit it out. She was happy the whole time so we decided it was a success. We hope she is a better eater than her picky big sister. Well only time will tell.

Katie's first food experience here.

Growing up

I finally decided Katie's hair was long enough to do something with it. I think it's so cute, she likes it for the most part depending on her mood of the moment.

Abigail is 4 months old, she rolled over from back to front for the first time on Jan. 2nd. I don't know what I'm going to do when she becomes really mobile. Actually I do I'll be chasing two girls instead of one.

Yesterday Abi rolled over and got stuck on her arm but was happy about it anyway. Nice drool she has going on too!

End of the Year

So we never got Christmas cards out this year but I did write a Family news letter so here is where it will be seen.

We started out 2009 finding out we were expecting our second child. While pregnant Britta spent a lot of quality time with Katie showing her how we would care for her new baby sister using one of her baby dolls. On September 3rd we welcomed Abigail Alicia into our family weighing 9 lbs 1 oz and 21 inches long. This year we pent as much time as possible with family. We daily see Britta’s parents and appreciate being able to live with them. Whenever possible we visit John’s parents and cherish the time we spend them. We did find some time to spend with siblings and enjoyed that too. Leaving us wishing we could see them all more often. We made a few trips to Scipio during the year and in July had a Nolan family reunion in Yellow stone and spent time with Britta’s father’s sisters.

John has been working as the House keeping manager at a hotel in Salt Lake. This year he will be preparing to begin POST training at Salt Lake Community College in May.

Britta stays busy with the girls and keeping house but when she finds time she enjoys updating the family blog or sewing. In fact she made Abi’s blessing dress.

Katie turned two this last November. She is very busy and very smart we are impressed daily by all the things she can do, all the things she knows, and all she understands. Katie loves her little sister and enjoys giving her hugs and kisses, she also loves getting Abi to smile.

Abi is a great addition to our family. When in a good mood she has a quick smile and cute giggle. She loves to watch her big sister and probably can’t wait to run around with her.

We have had many blessings this year and look forward to all next year brings.
