Dentist Field Trip Feb 2012

On February 17th Katie's preschool went to a Dentist office for a field trip. Katie likes the dentist and had a good time, they let all the kids try out the chairs and take turns making the chairs go up and down. Katie loved pushing buttons. They also used a little camera and showed all the kids the inside of their mouths. Katie's friend Blythe and her mom Melissa car pooled with us, it was super fun to listen to 4 year old girls chat in the back seat. I look forward to going on many more field trips with Katie, it was lots of fun!

Valentines 2012

Katie and I made Valentine cookies. She was a great helper! It was my first attempt at decorating sugar cookies via the flooding method. I will definitely try it again.

I made valentines for Katie to give out at preschool they are little owls that say "Owl always be your friend" a couple of the pictures are flipped and won't turn for me.

John made us pink pancakes for breakfast! He's so sweet!

 Valentines was also John's mothers birthday so we got together with his dad and siblings at the cemetery to take some time to remember her and be together. The girls and I made valentines for the family.

Sisterly love

For the girls I made them heart pop-up cards. I also used my Disney Movie Rewards points to get them cute princess keepsake boxes that we filled with chocolates.

Valentines 2012 Crafting

Here are a couple valentines craft thing I did this year. There is more but it will come in my Valentines post.

I made some paper hear banners to hang in the girls room.

Then I made this garland the hearts are felt and the pom poms are yarn

I found the heart idea through Pinterest.

I think they both turned out great. I did put the felt garland away but the girls are keeping their hearts up for now.

Katie learned to write her name in January. I've been working with her for a while and  I guess the K was intimidating but she got over it and can write her name quite well now!

Yay for a party!

My girls always love a party and their friend Liam's 2nd birthday was no different. It was a cute Sesame Street themed party. The kids played games and earned money that they got to redeem at a little store for fun prizes. I think the favorite game was looking for rubber duckies in Ernie's balloon bath. It was fun for adults too! They had great food and better company!
