Abigail is ONE!

The last year has gone by quickly and our little Abigail is one year old. She is doing amazing things like...
She started walking at the end of July

She tries to copy any word we ask her to

She folds her arms for prayers and says 'per' (prayer),

She bounces when she wants to be picked up

She loves books and will bring you one after another to read to her

Her favorite book is "Rosie's Walk"

She tries to put on any clothes or towels or cloth item she can get her hands on (it's all clothes to her)

She loves her sister and wants to play with her all the time

She pulls her sister's hair

She waves bye bye and says bye

She started saying hello this week but it sounds like 'ewwo', only more muddled

She pretends to talk on the phone

She says cracker very well

She signs please, thank you, and more and tries to sign I love you

and a billion other amazing things she can do but I would be here forever to type them all up. She is a smart little one and we love having her in our family.


On her birthday we had a party it was great we had good friends and family to share the day with. Please enjoy the pictures there are A LOT of them...

10 days

In just the last ten days a lot has happened around here.

Katie's is speaking more clearly and using two or three part sentances, she also says the silliest things. On Saturday April 24th I was getting the girls ready for their bath and Katie asked me to eat her (tickle asnd pretend to nibble her) I asked "What do you taste like?" She said "Apple sauce." The next day she said "bananas." Friday April 30 she was nearing the end of her bath and said "I'm swimmimng like a fishy, a blue fishy!" I guess bath time brings out much of her silliness.

Abigail has had a busy ten days. In the below picture (April 22) I had turned around for a bit and when I looked to see what Abi was up to she was standing. She pulled herself up to standing using the outomen. She was quite pleased with herself. Also about this same day or maybe a few before Abi learned to clap.

For a couple weeks she has been getting really close to crawling and this is one of her attempts. She got up on her hands and feet but couldn't really move forward.

Last Sunday the 25th she had one little crawl but by Wednesday the 28th she could crawl pretty good every day she is picking up speed. In the next picture you can see her crawling and barely see the little divit of her new top left middle tooth (thats tooth #3). Abi started Also just today Abi started waving, it's a very cute and Abi won't let me get a picture of it so you'll just have to trust me.

Lastly we got a new car on Thursday it's a 2006 Subaru Legacy GT Limited. We are so excited to have a new car that runs great!

Playing catch up March 2009

On Sunday March 14th Abi's first tooth emerged and the second followed on Tuesday March 20th. It took forever but I finally got a picture but I had to hold her bottom lip down to get it, she has been less than cooperative. She is a biter and gnaws on everything.

We enjoyed some fun days outside going for walks or playing on the swing set.


Katie had learned to like to get her picture taken and loves to give big cheesy smiles. Abi would rather be doing something else.


So after the last two years and five months of sharing a room with our children they are finally getting their own room. YAY! My dad was kind enough to move his office upstairs and allow us to use his old office for them. We are still in the midst of painting and such but here are a few pictures.
